How To Clean Aurora Armchair
This furniture is low maintenance furniture for homes and offices and wherever comfort is needed. Despite boasting high quality materials it is necessary to clean it regularly to protect it from stains and extend its lifespan. Engaging in regular maintenance is not enough; if you must clean Aurora you must do it properly.
Below, we provide you with a proper cleaning practice for your Aurora armchair.
Materials You Need
- Micro fibre cloth/towel
- Leather cleaner/Dish soap
- Warm water
- Dry cloth/Vacuum cleaner
Dust The Chair
The first act will be to dust the chair properly to remove dust. This can be done with a dry piece of cloth or a vacuum cleaner. We recommend a combination of both, especially the vacuum cleaner if the chair is covered with too much dust. However, you need not worry if you don’t have a vacuum; just ensure that you dust thoroughly and concentrate on tight areas. You want to ensure that the chair is dust free before you commence cleaning proper.
Apply Your Cleaner
With your armchair already dust free, you can apply your cleaner. For best results we recommend specialist leather cleaners but a traditional dish soap will also suffice. Soak your microfiber cloth in the cleaner then coat the chair with it. Do not apply too much water per inch as you don’t want the chair to be soaked; too much water will take a longer time to dry.
You only need just a little moisture per inch. Smear the leather surface and scrub anti clockwise with the cloth. If you opt for a brush make sure you don’t scrub too hard. Apply just enough pressure on stained areas until they disappear.
After working on the leather, take your attention to the legs and do justice to each one until they are dirt and dust free.
Remove Soap Residue
The next step is to remove the soap residue from all areas. For this, you will need water in a bowl and a fresh piece of microfiber cloth. Soak the cloth in water then apply on the surface. You may start with the seat or the backrest; the choice is yours. Ensure no soap residue is left behind then navigate to the legs and do the same.
Air Dry
Now, you need to air dry your armchair. Don’t place it under direct sunlight as UV rays are bad for leather. You may leave your Aurora armchair in your living room but leave the windows open for air inflow. If you have a shade outside your home you can take the armchair outside for air drying. Once fully dry, it returns to its previous position.
