How To Clean Apple Crystal Coffee Tables
Apple Crystal is a glass furniture so the cleaning approach to adopt should be different from that of wood furniture. To ensure a steak free and spotless look, here are the materials you need and steps to take.
Materials
- Microfiber cloth/Duster
- Glass Cleaner
- Lint free cloth
Dust
To begin the cleaning process, you need to dust the table carefully and thoroughly. It is advisable to use a microfiber cloth as you don’t want to scratch the glass during the process.
Apply Cleaner
After dusting, open your cleaner and spray into your lint free cloth. We recommend that you don’t spray directly onto the glass as this will cause the solution to drip and drop into other areas which can cause streaks or even damage in worse case scenarios. Don’t oversaturate the cloth with the cleaner. You want it damp, not dripping soaked.
Caution: Use a commercial glass cleaner or homemade cleaner with a water to vinegar solution of ratio 1:1. Don’t use cleaners with harsh chemicals like ammonia as they can damage the glass and surrounding areas.
Wipe
Place the damp cloth containing the cleaner on the table surface and wipe down. Start from the top and work your way down to the legs, not the other way round. When wiping adopt a circular motion for best results. Do this carefully and watch out for fingerprints and smudges.
Dry
After wiping with your cleaner, use your lint free cloth to buff the glass. For a streak-free finish we advise you use a different cloth for thorough moisture absorption. When drying, focus on edges and corners.
Inspect
After drying, inspect the table carefully under a different light condition. We recommend natural light if possible. Look out of marks and streaks and wipe again where necessary.
If you want your Apple Crystal to look shiny all through we recommend regular cleaning at least once every two weeks.
